Patrick Timothy Hurley Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who
Patrick Timothy Hurley was also awarded Master in Aeronautics Student of the Year in 2009
DAYTONA BEACH, FL, November 11, 2009 /University PR News/ -- Patrick Timothy Hurley, Graduate Assistant for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in his career.
With five years of professional experience, Mr. Hurley attributes his success to his dedication and love for his profession. His responsibilities at Embry-Riddle include updating the web page, creating blogs, and assisting in group enrollments and academic advisement for 160 undergraduate students. He also works on a federal aviation administration project to improve the national airspace systems, and maintains 30 aircrafts and dispatches, as well as 55 student flying records.
Mr. Hurley volunteers his time at Turie T. Small Elementary School in Daytona, Florida, where he tutors students with low math test scores and helps them improve them. Additionally, he works night shifts at Ormond Beach Municipal Airport as a fixed base operator manager. He is a member of the Air Traffic Controllers Organization, and the National Business Aviation Association.
Licensed in single and multi-engine aircraft operation, and private piloting, Mr. Hurley is pursuing his commercial pilot's license. He is also pursuing his Master of Science in Aeronautics, with a concentration in Safety and Management, and has earned his Bachelor of Science in Air Traffic Management, with a minor in Flight and Business in 2008, from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Mr. Hurley received the Student of the Year Award in 2009, and the Volunteer of the Year Award in 2007.
