Selena M. Melvin has devoted her career to helping students achieve greater success
LANSING, MI, November 30, 2009 /University PR News/ -- Selena M. Melvin, Director of Training at EduGuide, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in academic development.
As the director of training at EduGuide, Ms. Melvin is responsible for planning and providing curriculum to first generation families attending college and helping people make better informed decisions for their children who are first-time college students. She was influenced by the mission of EduGuide and felt compelled to empower people to make informed decisions. She attributes her success to the support and encouragement she received from her mother.
Ms. Melvin is pursuing her Ph.D. at Michigan State University and received her master's degree in education administration from Central Connecticut State University in 2003. She hopes to establish her academy for helping at-risk males.
