Arthur Maxwell Taylor, Jr. Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who

Arthur Maxwell Taylor, Jr. celebrates a successful career in higher education

    MOSCOW, ID, December 15, 2009 /University PR News/ -- Arthur Maxwell Taylor, Jr., Native American Tribal Liaison for the University of Idaho, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in higher education.

As a Native American Tribal Liaison for the University of Idaho, Mr. Taylor represents the university and works with the northwest region's Native American tribes on higher education policy, research and other tribal educational issues. Previously, he served as the assistant director of the Multicultural Student Programs and Services at the University of Notre Dame; he served as a member of the Nez Perce Tribal Executive Committee and was nominated to serve on the Pacific Salmon Commission where he helped to negotiate international salmon harvests for the Nez Perce people. He attributes his success to his strong family values.

Mr. Taylor received his Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University and will receive his Master's Degree in Cultural and Educational Policy Studies from Loyola University Chicago in 2010. He is a member of the Nez Perce tribe, the National Congress of American Indians, National Indian Education Association and is a former member of the Nez Perce Tribal Executive Committee. He intends to continue his studies and obtain a doctorate in Education at the University of Idaho.
