Industrial Engineering Professor Optimizes His Opportunities And Joins The Ranks Of Stanford Who's Who
Metin Turkay has earned the distinction of being inducted into Stanford Who's Who for his excellence in the field of education.
SARIYER, ISTANBUL, December 12, 2009 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Metin Turkay has earned the distinction of being inducted into Stanford Who's Who for his excellence in the field of education. Turkay is an Associate Professor at KOC University where he has consistently exhibited the dedication and knowledge required to excel as an educator.
Metin has 38 years of valuable experience as a Professor. He currently teaches Industrial Engineering with a strong focus on Operations Research Optimization Theory and Applications.
The Industrial Engineering Department at KOC University offers a variety of basic courses including engineering economics, stochastic processes, optimization, information systems, modeling and simulation as well as design, planning and control of systems. Students can also select from an assortment of courses to match their career goals, such as supply chain management, e-commerce, financial engineering and facilities planning.
Turkay attained a PHD in Operations Research from Carnegie University and is involved in consulting the Euro ISCB.
Metin has an intense affinity for archaeology and history which he researches when he has time away from his busy schedule.
