Masters of American Studies Program at Kennesaw State University Enrolls students for Fall 2010 Semester.

The MA in American Studies program prepares graduate students for a life interwoven with countries and cultures. This world we live in today requires a brand new type of education, one that is built on many perspectives.

KENNESAW, GA April 16, 2010 /University PR News/ -- When Jessica Killcreas started looking for a program to further her interests in English, she found the MA in American Studies (MAST) at Kennesaw State.
"The Kennesaw State University American Studies program allows me to pursue a master's degree full-time in a field that I see as wide open and full of rich opportunities for study and research," Killcreas said. "The potential to engage in teaching and/or research assistantships is highly appealing as well, as I have learned a great deal through similar undergraduate positions."
According to Dr. LeeAnn Lands, Interim MAST Director "The MA in American Studies program prepares graduate students for a life interwoven with countries and cultures. This world we live in today requires a brand new type of education, one that is built on many perspectives. The interdisciplinary approach used in the American Studies program gives students a passport to cross academic borders freely. We can be looking at a social justice issue through the discipline best suited to that task; whether it is a historical, literature, or film lens that we're using."
Information and applications for admission to the MAST program at Kennesaw State are available by calling Cherie Miller, at the MAST office, available at 678-797-2504 or by reviewing information at http://www.kennesaw.edu/graduate/admissions/
