Beau Douglas Tanner Honored by Cambridge Who's Who
Beau Douglas Tanner, Marine Corps Veteran, is Pursuing his Degree in Architecture and Design
MOSCOW, ID, January 13, 2010 /University PR News/ -- Beau Douglas Tanner, Student at the University of Idaho, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in higher education.
Mr. Tanner is currently in his fourth year of study at the University of Idaho as an architecture major. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he enjoyed a fruitful eight years in military service. Honors of which he is a recipient include the Naval Presidential Unit Citation, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expiditionary and Service Medals and the Armed Forces Reserve Medal with "M" device. Mr. Tanner has also received several commendations and a Meritorious Mast for his military service. Now a full-time student at Idaho, he plays the clarinet in the school's marching and pep bands, The Vandalizers, in addition to his academic responsibilities. He attributes his success to the value of hard work that his parents instilled in him as well as the sense of accomplishment and self pride embued to him through his service in the Marines.
A graduate of Spokane Falls Community College, Mr. Tanner earned his Associate of Arts in General Studies in 2005. He is a member of the American Institute of Architecture Students and The Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Tanner is also an active member of Stevens County Fire District #7, Arden, Washington. When the opporturnity affords itself, Mr. Tanner also routinely volunteers at his former high school, Jenkins High in Chewelah, WA. He plans to pursue his master's degree and complete a second bachelor's degree at the University of Idaho within the next five years.
