Beth Stormont Named Professional of the Year in Higher Education
Beth Stormont lends 55 years of expertise to her position as Coordinator at Rio Salado College
SUN CITY WEST, AZ, January 20, 2010, Beth Stormont, DMA, MA, BA, Coordinator at Rio Salado College, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Higher Education. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.
Beth Stormont is a seasoned professional in the field of higher education with more than 55 years of experience. For the last four years, she has dedicated herself to the role of Coordinator at Rio Salado College, responsible for scheduling classes, coordinating the Rise Learning for Life Program, liaising with presenters and Rise members, and scheduling classes. Additionally, she creates catalogues, teaches and makes public speaking engagements.
Prior to joining Rio Salado College, Dr. Stormont taught at Glendale Community College in Glendale, California. She continues to volunteer her time as an English instructor, and credits her success to her dedication and academic and varied experiential background. Dr. Stormont holds a doctor of musical arts in performing arts from the University of Southern California, a master of arts in music from Occidental College and a bachelor of arts in education from California State University at Long Beach. An active member in her professional community, she is a member of the Theosophical Society in America, and Friendship Force International (World Goodwill Ambassadors), and West Valley Women (Arizona Organization of Professional Business Women).
