Jacqueline D. Naughton Named Professional of the Year in Educational Programming Services
Jacqueline D. Naughton helps at-risk and disabled students at Briarcliffe College
BETHPAGE, NY, January 18, 2010 /University PR News/ -- Jacqueline D. Naughton, Director of the Academic Student Learning Center at Briarcliffe College, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Educational Programming Services. While inclusion in Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only two male and two female members in each discipline are named the Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year. The Cambridge Who's Who selection committee chooses these special honorees based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, and leadership abilities.
A recognized expert counselor, Jacqueline D. Naughton currently thrives in her sixth year at Briarcliffe College, where she oversees the tutoring program, coordinates programs under the American with Disabilities Act and oversees learning centers at two campuses. During her tenure at the school, she has been distinguished by her drive to help at-risk and disabled students. She has thus far successfully started new programs catering to said individuals and looks forward to continuing in this capacity. She has created the Community Service Project which encourages the involvement of students and staff in altruistic endeavors as well.
Ms. Naughton initially became involved in her profession at the early age of 18, when she began advising her peers at school. She holds a master's degree in counseling from C.W. Post at Long Island University and a bachelor's degree in psychology from Hofstra University.
