Jeanne Elinor Blevins, Ph.D., Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who

Jeanne Elinor Blevins, Ph.D. honored for excellence in higher education

    AHOSKIE, NC, January 11, 2010 /University PR News/ -- Dr. Jeanne Elinor Blevins, Coordinator of the Reading and English Development at Roanoke Chowan Community College, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in higher education.

Dr. Blevins has 38 years of overall professional experience. As a coordinator of reading and the English Developmental Department, she is in charge of curriculum and instruction in the department, supervising the faculties of the department, and advising students. She also teaches five classes a day in developmental reading. In addition, she is the coordinator of the lateral entry program, where she makes arrangements with the eduaction department for people who want to become certified teachers.

In 1982, Dr. Blevins received her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Auburn University. She is a member of Phi Delta Kappa, the Philanthropic Educational Organization, and the Standing Committeee for Outreach at Roanoke Chowan Community College.
