Tammy Shrable Honored by Cambridge Who's Who

Tammy Shrable is pursuing a Ph.D. in curriculum development

    WEST PLAINS, MO, January 6, 2010 /University PR News/ -- Tammy Shrable, Reading Teacher for the Bakersfield Elementary School and College Instructor at William Woods University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education and literacy.

Ms. Shrable has 13 years of experience in the field of education. As a reading teacher for the Bakersfield Elementary School, she is responsible for teaching fourth and fifth grade students. She organizes ability groupings, assists students at risk, and focuses on school improvement and curriculum development. As a college instructor at William Woods University, Ms. Shrable teaches graduate and doctoral students. Prior to her current positions, Ms. Shrable taught the third grade and served as a principal for two years. She attributes her success to the support she receives from her husband and children.

Pursuing a Ph.D. in Curriculum Development from Northcentral University, Ms. Shrable has a Master's Degree in Administration, a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership. A member of the Missouri State Teachers Association, she hopes to become a full-time curriculum director in the future.
