William Frantz Receives Professional Networking Community's Highest Honor
William Frantz Thoroughly Enjoys Helping Young People Prepare for the Future
SUN PRAIRIE, WI, January 18, 2010 /University PR News/ --William Frantz, Associate Instructor for the University of Phoenix, Madison and Capella University, Minnesota and Consultant for The Winning Edge, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Higher Education. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only two male and two female members in each discipline are named professionals of the year. The Cambridge Who's Who selection committee chooses these special honorees based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements and leadership abilities.
A 37-year veteran of state government, William Frantz parlays his experience in public service into a second career as an educator. He lends his talents to the University of Phoenix, Madison and Capella University, Minnesota, where he leads courses in humanities, historical studies and business management. He also serves as a consultant for The Winning Edge.
During his time in state government, Mr. Frantz worked in engineering, administration and management for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. He was an adjunct teacher and assistant professor at Cardinal Stritch University, Milwaukee, for 23 years prior to assuming his current positions. Now 75 years of age, Mr. Frantz looks forward to more years in academia. He thoroughly enjoys helping young people prepare for the future with a world view, and attributes his success and longevity to his ability to look ahead and keep abreast of developments in his profession.
Mr. Frantz served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1964 with two years active duty in California and overseas with Iran Survey Project, mapping the area from the Persian Gulf to Russia. He earned his Master's Degree in Political Science in 1975 from the University of Wisconsin and his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1956 from The Pennsylvania State University. He is a registered professional engineer in the states of Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. His professional affiliations include the National Society of Professional Engineers, the American Management Association, and the World Future Society.
