Jing Wang Honored for Accomplishments in Higher Education
Jing Wang has received $3 million in research grants and contracts from federal agencies and other industries
TAMPA, FL, October 5, 2010 /University PR News/ -- Jing Wang, Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in higher education.
Driven to enter his profession by his interest in research, Mr. Wang's expertise is in microelectronics. At the University of South Florida, he conducts research and mentors students. He acts as an advisor for 10 Ph.D. students, two students pursuing master's degrees and four undergraduates. With 10 years of field experience, he lends his accomplishments to his hard work and ability to capitalize on opportunities.
In 2006, Mr. Wang earned a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. He has published over 50 peer-reviewed papers and holds two patents. Additionally, he has received $3 million in research grants and contracts from federal agencies and other industries. He is affiliated with the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society, Materials Research Society, American Vacuum Society as well as the International Microelectronics and Packaging Society. Since 2008, Dr. Wang joined prestigious MTT Technical Coordinating Committee (TCC-21) on RF MEMS. In the future, Mr. Wang intends to become a full-fledged professor, become an IEEE Fellow and publish 50 more research papers.
