Danny R. Harris Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who

Danny R. Harris received a Commendation for Involvement in Youth Development by the Richmond Police Department in 2009

    RICHMOND, CA, December 23, 2010 /University PR News/ -- Danny R. Harris, Director of Mentors for 21st Century Mentors Foundation, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in his career.

With nine years of professional experience, Mr. Harris attributes his success to the support he received from his mentors. As director of mentors, he is in charge of facilitating and training mentors and mentees, performing administrative functions, establishing and monitoring programs, overseeing budgets, writing grants, and promoting the foundation. He also works as a police officer, and received numerous awards from the city mayor and congresswoman for his excellent service as a police officer. Additionally, he serves as the president of the Richmond Explorer program and as an adjunct professor at Contra Costa College.

Mr. Harris is a member of the California Safety Center, the California Association of Hostage Negotiators, and the Richmond High School Law Academy. He is also a member of the Richmond Police Officers Association, the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives, and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. In 2007, he received his Master of Business Administration in Organizational Leadership, with a concentration in Public Administration, from Saint Mary's College of California.
