Douglas Parker has been elected to the Director for Safe Communities Canada
BRANDON, MB, CANADA, December 23, 2010 /University PR News/ -- Douglas Parker, Safety and Security Supervisor at Canexus Chemicals Canada Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in his career.
Mr. Parker has 14 years of overall professional experience. As a safety and security supervisor, he is responsible for overseeing plant safety, development and emergency response programs, coordinating on corporate policies and procedures, and managing on-site and traveling hazardous materials teams. He also develops manuals, trains on safety and emergency response, and ensures all occupational safety and health administration regulations.
Mr. Parker holds a registered safety professional designation through the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP). He is pursuing a master's degree in business at the University of Fredericton, and received a degree in occupational safety from Ryerson University and Landsbridge University. He sits on the Board of Directors at Safe Communities Canada.
