As Director of the School of Surgical Technology at Emory University Hospital, as well as throughout her incredible 50 year career, Betty has consistently demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.
Betty possesses extraordinary expertise in teaching and supervising. Over the course of her phenomenal professional career, she taught surgical techniques for 23 years at The Presbyterian Hospital, NOVANT system in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 1968 as the new Director, Betty pioneered the School of Surgical Technology at The Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina.
During her educational career, Betty earned a Diploma in Nursing from The Baptist Hospital in Knoxville Tennessee. She also earned a Certificate in Surgical Techniques and Management from the Mayo Clinic. Betty is a member of AORN. In the time away from her busy schedule, Betty greatly enjoys reading.
