Jill Murray honored for excellence in higher education
SCRANTON, PA, February 18, 2010 /University PR News/ -- Jill Murray, Vice President of Academic Affairs at Lackawanna College, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in higher education.
With 15 years of professional experience, Dr. Murray was prompted to enter her profession by her passion for the field of education. As the vice president of academic affairs, she is responsible for developing and overseeing all of the college's academic curricula. She attributes her success to her tenacity, work ethic and flexibility. Dr. Murray has an undergraduate degree from the University of Scranton, Master of Arts degree from SUNY Albany and Ph.D. from Marywood University. Dr. Murray is on the Board of Directors for the First Valley Technology Alliance and the Back Mountain Arts Association. She is a supporter of Friends of the Poor, the Arthritis Foundation and Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
