William Richard Shindle Honored for Accomplishments in Music Education

William Richard Shindle received a Ph.D. in musicology

    WESTMINSTER, MD, February 18, 2010 /University PR News/ -- William Richard Shindle, Professor Emeritus at Kent State University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in higher education.

With 43 years of professional experience, Mr. Shindle conducts research, publishes articles and travels the world. He was employed by Kent State University as a music history professor for 25 years. Specializing in writing, he attributes his success to his passion for his profession.

Mr. Shindle received a Ph.D. and Master's Degree in Musicology from Indiana University. He also earned a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Illinois Wesleyan University. He is a member of The Pennsylvania German Society and the American Musicological Society. In 2001, Mr. Shindle published numerous articles for The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians. In the future, he intends to continue writing and conducting research.
