Arthur S. Rochee Showcases Professional Brand through Leading Networking Organization
Arthur S. Rochee, Ph.D., honored for excellence in education
BALTIMORE, MD, March 9, 2010 /University PR News/ -- Arthur S. Rochee, Ph.D., retired Teacher for the Baltimore City Public School System, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.
Prior to his retirement, Arthur S. Rochee led an impressive career in government and education. After serving in the federal government for 32 years, he entered the academic sector, acting as a professor at Baltimore City Community College and as Assistant Principal in the Howard County Public School System. Dr. Rochee also served as a Hispanic coordinator, a Native American coordinator and as a coordinator for historically black colleges and universities. A partnership program headed by Dr. Rochee was named number one in the nation in 1990. Later in his career, he joined the Baltimore City Public School System, where he continued until 2008. During this time, he taught in the subjects of science, social studies, math and health, while overseeing administrative duties, and mentoring and counseling middle-school students.
For demonstrating professional excellence and longevity, Dr. Rochee was the recipient of the 2007-2008 Outstanding Teacher Award, as well as recognition from the University of the District of Columbia and the Way to Go Award from the Department of Transportation. Dr. Rochee was also given VIP status but the Cambridge Who's Who, the world's fastest-growing publishing company, and membership with Who's Who Among Hispanic Americans and Who's Who Among American Teachers. In an exclusive interview, Dr. Rochee credited such success to the support of his family. Inspired by his own teachers, he was most rewarded by the opportunity he had to prepare at-risk students for a life of educational excellence. As he moves forward, he noted, he will seek to teach at the college or high school level, preferably in North Carolina, Maryland or Houston, Texas.
Dr. Rochee holds a Ph.D. in educational psychology from Lorentz University, a master of science in education from Bowie State University and a bachelor of science in education from the University of the District of Columbia. He is a certified teacher for grades K through eight in the state of Maryland, and maintains active affiliation with the National Science Teachers Association, American Federation of Teachers and Kappa Delta.
