Patricia Susana Pardo, Ph.D., professional research associate, celebrates 10 years with Baylor College of Medicine
HOUSTON, TX, March 10, 2010 /University PR News/ --Patricia Susana Pardo, Ph.D., Research Associate at Baylor College of Medicine, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in applied science.
Specialized in molecular and chemical biology, Patricia Susana Pardo, Ph.D. lends over 20 years of experience to Baylor College of Medicine where she excels in the study of mechanical signaling. Now entering her 10th year with Baylor, she utilizes her extensive background in scientific research to design and perform experiments pertaining to muscle aging and mechanical signaling in muscle tissue. In addition to her clinical tasks, Dr. Pardo is responsible for preparing paperwork for grants including applications and proposals, and compiles and documents research results in preparation for submission to scholarly journals.
Dr. Pardo earned her doctoral degree in chemical biology from the University of Buenos Aires in 1991. She holds a master's degree in molecular biology and microbiology as well as a bachelor's degree in biology, earned in 1985 and 1982 respectively. Her professional affiliations include the American Society for Cell Biology, the American Association for the Advancement of Science and Sigma Xi. Looking to the future, Dr. Pardo intends to establish her own research group in order to study the science behind muscle aging.
