MaryLou Rains, Ph.D. Honored by Cambridge Who's Who

Dr. MaryLou Rains has over 20 years of experience teaching at the higher education level

    BELLEVUE, NE, April 13, 2010 /University PR News/ -- Dr. MaryLou Rains, Adjunct Professor at Bellevue University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in higher education.

As an adjunct professor at Bellevue University, Dr. Rains specializes in criminal justice and sociology. She also is an adjunct professor at Iowa Western Community College since 2005. Prior to attaining her current position, she was an adjunct professor at Metropolitan Community College from 1993 to 2009. Dr. Rains worked with her husband as a certified teaching parent at Boys Town for eight years and Houston Achievement Place for eight years. She attributes her success to staying updated on trends in the education field.

Dr. Rains received her Ph.D. in Criminal Justice Management from Columbus University in 2000, her Master of Science in Child and Youth Care Administration from Nova Southeastern University in 1991 and her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Sociology from Bellevue University in 1980. A member of the American Criminal Justice Association, she plans to write a book.
