Tammy R. Steighner Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who
Tammy R. Steighner celebrates nearly 25 years in the nursing field
CHESWICK, PA, April 15, 2010 /University PR News/ -- Tammy R. Steighner, MSN/ED, CCCN, COCN, CWCN, Adjunct Clinical Nursing Instructor for Community College of Allegheny County, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in nursing education.
With 24 years of professional experience, Ms. Steighner serves as an adjunct clinical nursing instructor for Community College of Allegheny County. Her responsibilities entail teaching first year registered nursing students in a clinical setting, hosting a skills laboratory for second year registered nursing students, conducting one-on-one consulting and assisting in acute care, outpatient and home care. She is a certified care nurse, certified ostomy care nurse and certified continence care nurse. She desired to become a nurse since she was a child, and she attributes her success to her hard work and persistence.
Ms. Steighner received her Master of Science in Nursing and Healthcare Education (MSN/ED), and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). She is a certified continence care nurse, ostomy care nurse and wound care nurse. In addition, she is a member of the Northeast Region Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses Society, Western Pennsylvania affiliate and Sigma Theta International Honor Society of Nursing, Omicron Delta Chapter.
