Tammy Shrable Named Education Professional of the Year
WEST PLAINS, MO, April 19, 2010 /University PR News/ -- Tammy Shrable, Reading Teacher at Bakersfield Elementary School and College Instructor at William Woods University, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Education. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only two male and two female members in each discipline are named professionals of the year. The Cambridge Who's Who selection committee chooses these special honorees based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements and leadership abilities.
Tammy Shrable has 13 years of experience in the field of education. As a reading teacher for the Bakersfield Elementary School, she is responsible for teaching fourth and fifth grade students. She organizes ability groupings, assists at-risk students, and focuses on school improvement and curriculum development. Ms. Shrable also lends her talents to William Woods University, where she teaches graduate and doctoral students. Prior to her current positions, she taught students in third and fifth grade and served as a school principal for two years. In addition to hard work and dedication to her students, Ms. Shrable credits her success to the support of her husband and children.
Ms. Shrable is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in curriculum development at North Central University. She holds an educational specialist degree in educational leadership as well as a master's degree in administration from William Woods University, both of which were earned in 2005. In addition, she attended South West Baptist University, where she earned a master's degree in elementary education in 1997. An affiliate of the Missouri State Teachers Association, she aims to become a full-time curriculum director in the future.
