Alyncia M. Bowen, Ph.D. Added to Exclusive Registry's Roster

Alyncia M. Bowen, Ph.D. was named 2009 Outstanding Professional Staff Member of the Year by Mount Carmel College of Nursing

    Columbus, OH, June 15, 2010 /University PR News/ -- Alyncia M. Bowen, Ph.D., Director of Financial Aid for Mount Carmel College of Nursing, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in change management, process management, organizational learning, communities of practice and knowledge management.

Alyncia M. Bowen, Ph.D. currently teaches international business and organizational strategy at Franklin University, conducts classes on healthcare policy at Mount Carmel College of Nursing, oversees financial aid for 800 students, manages 100 different types of funds including federal, state and institutional, and ensures financial literacy and compliance with federal and state policy. Attributing her success to the support she receives from her family, especially her mother, she enjoys participating as a guest speaker in classes for senior projects.

Ms. Bowen received a Doctorate in Organizational Management from Capella University, a Master of Science in Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Administration from Central Michigan University, and a Bachelors of Arts from Capital University. She holds Six Sigma Black Belt Certification and is a member of the Knowledge Management Professional Society, Inc., the American Society for Quality, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc., the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, and the International Society for Six Sigma Professionals. She was recognized by Alpha Kappa Alpha with a Leadership Award and was named 2009 Outstanding Professional Staff Member of the Year by Mount Carmel College of Nursing. She is a charter member of Oasis of Hope and a board member of Westminster-Thurber and The Breathing Association. Looking ahead, Ms. Bowen hopes to publish a few textbooks, conduct studies on community practices and become more involved in professional speaking engagements.
