Stefano Guandalini Honored for Accomplishments in Medicine
Stefano Guandalini is recognized as one of the Best Doctors in America since 2005
FLOSSMOOR, IL, August 16, 2010 /University PR News/ -- Stefano Guandalini, MD, Chief of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Medical Director, Founder of the University of Chicago Medical Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in medical care.
With 39 years of professional experience, Dr. Guandalini rightfully serves the University of Chicago Medical Center. Utilizing his expertise in celiac disease treatment, he conducts clinical research on the use of probiotics in the healing of gastrointestinal diseases. He also works as a professor of pediatrics at the University of Chicago.
Dr. Guandalini pursued his vocation because of his interest in biology and desire to help others. He obtained his MD from the University of Messina in Italy in 1971, Magna Cum Laude. Currently, he is a member of the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, the American Gastroenterological Association and the European Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition of which he has been President. In the future, he aspires to expand the Celiac Disease Center and develop the section of pediatric gastroenterology as one of the most excellent practices in Chicago.
