Dr. Ali Reza Taherian celebrates 25 years as food scientist for international food industries and Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada
QUEBEC, QC, CANADA, September 20, 2010 /University PR News/ -- Dr. Ali Reza Taherian, Senior Food Technologist, Research Biologist for Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in scientific research.
With over 25 years of experiences as Research Scientist, Research Director and Senior Food Technologist for international food industries and Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada, Dr. Ali Reza Taherian is responsible for overseeing food safety, quality and functionality, project management, reviewing and editing of peer reviewed scientific articles, University lecturing and co-supervision of graduate students (McGill University in Canada, BOKU - University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences in Austria, Shiraz and Ferdossi Universities in Iran), publishing books, chapter books, and original research papers, training, networking and consulting with researchers and food industries. He become involved in his profession because of his interest in science and public health, and he attributes his success to his desire to help people all around the world.
Mr. Taherian received his Ph.D. and Master's Degrees from McGill University in Canada, and his bachelor's Degree from the Faculty of Food Science and Nutrition of Tehran, Iran. He is professional member of Institute of Food Technology, Professional member of Iranian Food Scientist and Technologist Association, active member of Scientific Animation and Health Promotion Committees at the Food Research Center of Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada, professional member of Association Professionnelle des Nutritionnists Experts en Dysphagie, winner of the 2004 PRIX RECONNAISSANCE (recognition award) of the Food Research Center of Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada, and coordinator and Leader of Food Safety Capacity Building in Sub-Saharan Countries (Senegal-Ghana and Kenya), September to October 2005.
