Industry Leader Terry Teays Added to the Cambridge Who's Who Network
Terry Teays co-authored "Optimizing Luck" with Tom Meylan, a management book based on their personal experiences during technical missions
BALTIMORE, MD, September 9, 2010 /University PR News/ -- Terry Teays, Ph.D., Academic Program Manager for Johns Hopkins University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in astronomical research.
Through 37 years of diligence and hard work conducting research in astronomical studies, Dr. Teays excels as an academic program manager for Johns Hopkins University. Utilizing his expertise in variable stars and ultraviolet astronomy research, future work force development and program evaluation, he is a valued astrophysicist. In his role, he manages the Maryland Space Grant Consortium where he arranges scholarships, internships and grants for students. Prior to attaining his position with Johns Hopkins University, he worked as a director of the Center for Scientific Research at the Computer Sciences Corporation.
Dr. Teays received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1986. He is a member of the American Astronomical Society, the American Society for Engineering Education, the Astronomical Society of the Pacific and the International Astronomical Union. A three-time recipient of the Group Achievement Award from NASA. In the future, he intends to continue developing new programs at Johns Hopkins, including the student balloon payload program.
