Woodson University Applies for Accreditation
Woodson University applies for accreditation with the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE), a U.S. Department of Education recognized accrediting body.
CONCORD, ON, November 18, 2011 /University PR News/ -- Woodson University was notified by the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE), a U.S. Department of Education recognized accrediting body, that the university meets the necessary requirements as an "Applicant in Good Standing" for accreditation for its Elementary I, Teacher Education Program. The program which is a unit within the university's Department of Education and Leadership is being offered as a minor in the bachelors of Christian teacher education program.
Although "Applicant in Good Standing" status does not guarantee the outcome of the program's accreditation, A.L. Fleming, the university president is optimistic; "we have a great staff in our academic affairs unit that we feel will be able to ensure our success in the accreditation process. I have no doubt that with proper planning we will receive more good news in the future regarding our Montessori Teacher Education program."
