Strategic Planning Executive Makes The Grade With Stanford Who's Who

As Director of Corporate Strategy Planning for Central Queensland University, as well as throughout her incredible 22 years in the business, Dr. Hinton has consistently demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.
Central Queensland University is an Australian public university based in Queensland. They have 21,000 students from 120 countries enrolled across a dozen campuses and learning sites including Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Emerald, Gladstone and Mackay in Central Queensland, international campuses in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast, and several overseas locations. Central Queensland University is in the process of becoming the first dual sector university in Queensland; that is, a university and an institute of tertiary and further education.
Central Queensland University's postgraduate and undergraduate programs span the natural and physical sciences, information technology, engineering, architecture and building, environmental studies, health, education, business and management, society and culture, and the creative and performing arts.
Dr. Hinton is responsible for strategy, planning, reporting and risk for the University. Her base profession is as a nurse and when nursing started in the university, Dr. Hinton was one of the original academic staff employed in Central Queensland to commence the Diploma of Nursing, which 2 years later became the Bachelor of Nursing. From there she became the first year coordinator of nursing and went on to become the Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching). Soon after, Dr. Hinton was projected for 2 years to implement system-wide student evaluation which occurred and she moved on to be the Manager of Enabling programs and Learning Support. From this position, she became the Manager of Academic Staff Development. Due to a re-structure she applied and was successful for the position of Director of Strategy, Quality and Review and with a subsequent restructure 18 months later became the Director of Corporate Strategy and Planning with Risk Management as part of this role.
During her collegiate career, Leone earned a Professional Doctorate in Transdisciplinary Studies, Master of Education in Education Administration and a Graduate Diploma in Tertiary Education. She is a member of the Australian Public Professional Administration, Higher Education Research Development of Australia, and Australian Territory Education Managers. Dr. Hinton is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management. She was named as Central Queensland Manager of the Year in 2010.
