Alain Normand Joins The Prestigious Class Of Stanford Who's Who

Professor Alain Normand has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of his outstanding professional career.

    BRAMPTON, ON, CANADA, April 13, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Professor Alain Normand has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of his outstanding professional career. As an Emergency Manager for the City of Brampton, as well as throughout his impressive career, Mr. Normand has routinely exhibited the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.

Mr. Normand is an Emergency Management Professional who is involved with ensuring the safety and security of the people of Brampton. Alain is also a published author who wrote a series of novels on the subject of emergency management. The Return of the Spanish Lady, The Curse of El Nino, and The Harness of the Riviera are all available through www.authorhouse.com. In addition, Mr. Normand serves as a part-time teacher at York University and Sheridan College in the Greater Toronto Area in the subjects of Emergency Management, Crisis Communications, Pandemic Planning and Business Continuity.

During his collegiate career, Alain earned a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration and Political Science. Mr. Normand has been the recipient of numerous awards including the Canadian Award for Emergency Management in 2010 from the Canadian Centre for Emergency Preparedness and the Executive Award for Emergency Management from the International Association of Emergency Managers in 2010 for outstanding achievement in the field. He is a member of OAEM, IAEM, ASIS, and the national committee for the Emergency Management and Business Continuity Standard. Alain is also the past President of OAEM.
