Cheryl A. Stoneham Joins The Class Of Stanford Who's Who
Stanford Who's Who welcomes Cheryl A. Stoneham to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of her exceptional effort in the Education Industry.
SIMI VALLEY, CA, June 1, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who welcomes Cheryl A. Stoneham to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of her exceptional effort in the Education Industry. As a Professor at Los Angeles Valley College, as well as throughout her brilliant professional career, Cheryl has consistently demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.
Los Angeles Valley College is one of 9 colleges in the Los Angeles Community College District. It is a fully accredited 2-year public college located in the heart of Los Angeles's San Fernando Valley. The educational establishment offers transfer education, job training and lifelong learning to residents of the San Fernando Valley and beyond.
Cheryl teaches English as a second language, working closely with students to help them learn English. She also serves as the ESL Chair. Cheryl is incredibly proud when her students show improvement and an enthusiasm for learning. She is especially happy when they return years later to thank her for helping them learn.
During her collegiate career, she earned a Master's degree in Linguistics from California State University as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in French Civilization. Cheryl is a member of the American Federation of Teachers and she is extremely active on the campus of Los Angeles Valley College.
Outside of her career in education, Cheryl is an avid health enthusiast. She has been a body building 'figure' competitor since 2006, winning numerous awards in various competitions along the way. Cheryl's proudest moment was when she was awarded 1st Place in her first figure competition at Muscle Beach in Venice, California at the age of 51.
