Melissa Iteld-Jurin Channels Creativity through Dance, Literature and Education

Mrs. Iteld-Jurin recently completed her first novel, "Dying to Get under the Chuppah," in collaboration with Pulitzer Prize nominee Sandra Hochman

    GREAT NECK, NY, July 22, 2011 /University PR News/ --Melissa G. Iteld-Jurin, MA, Writer, Teacher and Dancer, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in education and authorship.

Mrs. Jurin is a writer, teacher and dancer whose creative capacities have allowed her to shine in numerous roles throughout her 16 years of professional experience. As an expert in education, literature and authorship, she has taught the fine points of literature and helped people hone an acute understanding of poetry and the arts. She recently completed her first novel, titled "Dying to Get under the Chuppah," on which she collaborated with Sandra Hochman, a Pulitzer Prize nominee and award-winning poet.

Having always maintained a passion for education, Mrs. Jurin made the decision to pursue a career in teaching. For five years, she served as an adjunct professor at Touro College, and taught a writing course at another local academy. Mrs. Jurin earned a master's degree in history and education from the Teachers College of Columbia University and a bachelor's degree in history, with minors in French and dance, from Barnard College. She is a certified teacher (7-12) in the state of New York. In 2009, she was named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Education and Authorship.
