Taneisha Green Honored as a VIP of the Year for Excellence in Academic Advising

Ms. Green aspires to establish a children's recreational center that combines education and counseling

    NEW YORK, NY, September 19, 2011 /University PR News/ -- Taneisha Green, Academic Advisor for Parsons, The New School for Design, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in academic advising.

As an academic advisor for Parsons, The New School for Design, Ms. Green has the opportunity to work with positive young professionals who possess strong aspirations and drive, just as she does. Her role entails monitoring and advising approximately 300 students and consulting at-risk and international students. In recognition of her work, Ms. Green was recently named a VIP of the Year by Cambridge Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.

Ms. Green graduated from New York University in 2007 with a Master of Arts in Applied Psychology. She also completed an internship at St. Joseph's College and earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Mary Baldwin College. Crediting her success to her credibility, she remains current in her field through affiliations with the American Counseling Association, American College Personnel Association, and NACADA. Looking toward the future, Ms. Green hopes to establish a children's recreational center that combines education and counseling. She also aspires to become a Vice President at a university.
