COLUMBUS, GA, September 02, 2011 /University PR News/ -- Therese M. Lahnstein, Associate Professor at Columbus State University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in higher education.
Ms. Lahnstein has 32 years of experience in education, spending the last 26 at Columbus State University. Teaching in a classroom setting, as well as in a critical intensive care unit as a clinical professor, she shares her expertise in critical care. She also teaches evidence-based practice nursing care, leadership, management and pathophysiology to senior-level nursing students, supervises 40 to 45 students in a classroom, and provides instruction about hands-on care for critically ill adult patients.
A registered nurse and critical care registered nurse, Ms. Lahnstein earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing in 1984 from Troy University and a Master of Science in Nursing two years later from The University of Alabama. She is now pursuing a doctoral degree in education from Northcentral University. Ms. Lahnstein is a member of the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, and the National League for Nursing.
